There are a lot of DJ folks in the goth and related scenes. Are you a DJ? What do you play? What kind of equipment do you use? Where do you usually spin? Any goals? Introduce yourself!
Hello everyone. My name is Tim and I am in the Lancaster PA area. (Originally from Los Angeles) I am involved in music in many ways. But relating to DJing – I am avid physical collector with over 20,000 vinyl, cds and tapes. I have been DJing for over 35 years now. I like to play lounges, bars and restaurants where I can help the atmosphere. The occasional club works well too. Picture this: You go into a club or bar and you may or may not like the main room DJ. You decide to drift into the second room because the main floor is way too loud and obnoxious. There you will find me playing some eclectic and deep cuts in whatever style that fits the ambience and the themed night. I am like a walking encyclopedia in the music styles that I have followed. I am always looking for somewhere to play occasionally or regularly. ****Contact me for details**** I currently play with an occasional quarterly event called Sanctuary which does new wave, goth and industrial.
I like to play vinyl. I do and can play cds and some digital setups.
Main styles I do:
– Chill out music – deep cuts.
– Underground new wave, nu romantic, synth pop, EBM, New Beat, industrial, goth rock, coldwave and darkwave – Thats a lot of styles right? Well, there is a lot of great music in them!
– techno, house, electro, proper trance.
– ambient – berlin school, field recording, prog ambient, space music, soundtrack etc
