Hey everyone. My name is Tim Humphrey and I am involved heavily into music. Most of what I do everyday, involves music. I write reviews and articles for many online publications as well as promotional work for many artists and labels in electronic music. I run two electronic music labels. re:discovery records is a vinyl reissue label I started in 2020 and Discovery records is a digital only label I then started in 2022. They are mostly dedicated to the 90s sound of chill out music which is everything from ambient techno, ambient, electro, trance and house music. Some people know me from my times at Discogs.com as I was an early member of the site, editor and moderator back in the websites inception 2001-2004. My user names were TIM (2001-2016) & errorsinspace (2016-now). I recently have put my efforts into starting a youtube channel called Electric Cafe where I discuss music. I help manage a few artists and help them with their back catalog of music. I also have been a DJ for around 37 years. I went to recording studio school in 1996 and worked in many Los Angeles studios from 1996-2003. There is more that I am involved with when it comes to music, but I think that’s enough to read for now. 

I would love to DJ out if you need some eclectic music. I really enjoy DJing at lounges, restaurants, chill spots and anywhere I can help the ambience with some cool music. I DJ at a recurring party called Sanctuary here in Lancaster PA that has done some parties for new wave, Goth and industrial music for the past 14 years. 

My music journey:

I have been collecting music since I was about 8 years old. I have amassed a collection that has over 20,000 pieces of physical music. My tastes are varied. I grew up as a disco baby. I got into new wave, synth pop and nu romantic very early on when i was about 6 in 1982. It would take a page to go over my history with music styles so perhaps the shortest way to mention it is to just name the genres. New wave, nu romantic, synth pop, industrial, Goth, disco, italo disco, house, techno, new beat, electro, freestyle, trance, chill out, ambient techno, ambient, new age, kraut, prog, electronica, shoegaze, indie, drum n bass, hardcore, jungle, acid, minimal, dub, reggae, dub techno, darkwave, coldwave, synth wave and more. 

I am very much into the history of electronic music and tracing its courses and the sounds I like most.
