Residual Self is Rex’s vision to shed a light on the most depraved and disgusting parts of humanity. Anger, lust, greed, and all the sins we commit – both big and small. The band is designed to awaken the primal state within, showing at our core, we all are monsters. Vulgar and blunt, Rex growls and snarls his way through their hellish endeavors while Josh and David carry you along for the ride with distorted guitars and pounding drums. Occasionally, they slow things down. Getting softer and growing ambient, the band in this form focuses on the cracking points of humanity. The fears, sadness, and somber emptiness that allows the monsters within to take form.
